Seamfix Biocapture® is application software used to capture basic data and biometric records for a group of individuals ranging from a small office to the entire citizens of a country. Biocapture® has seamless integration to the AFIS® enterprise suite such that synchronization of captured data occurs over an IP network via secure protocols such as the SFTP.

Seamfix Biocapture® client adopt the requirements of the following data dictionary in its latest current version.

The Seamfix BTA®™ application implementation for our customers has two aspects, the client and the middleware application that will be used to integrate to the backend AFIS® enterprise suite. In this document, the features of both the client and middleware will be detailed CLIENT

1.    Capture of Employee data: The subscriber data comprises of

a)    Demographic Data: The basic data of the subscriber is captured. The fields to be captured include, but is not limited to:

• Title
• Surname
• First Name
• Other Name
• Contact number(s)
• Email
• Gender
• Date of Birth
• Marital Status
• Nationality
• State of Origin
• Occupation
• Anniversary Date
• Registration Type
• Mother's maiden name
• Address
• City
• LGA
• State
• Address Postal Code

b)    Biometrics Data: The biometrics data comprises of :

• Portrait Image
• Fingerprint image of Right Thumb
• Fingerprint image of Left Thumb
• Fingerprint image of Right Index
• Fingerprint image of left Index

c)    Identification Data: Scan or snapshot of identity card

2.    Encryption and Hashing of sensitive captured data for security and Integrity preservation: The data that has been captured by the client is encrypted using Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) and hashed using Md5

3.    Automatic and Secure upload of data to central server via SFTP to Middleware service: Once subscribers are enrolled, the captured data is automatically uploaded to the central server as long as there’s network connection between them (middleware and client). Thus no human intervention is needed. This reduces the chances of forgetfulness or errors on the part of the agent1.

4.    Reports of synchronized, unsynchronized, complete and incomplete data: The agent can view reports on the enrollment client to inform him of the count of records that have been sent to the server, records that have not been sent, records that have no biometric data and records that have biometric data

5.    Management of agents by an admin2: The Admin is in charge of the agents. He is able to :

• Create Agents
• Update Agents’ information
• Delete Agents
• Reset password for agents, when necessary
• View reports across all agents assigned to a client

6.    Audit Trail reports: These are the reports that show the activities of the agents on the enrollment client. These reports are also uploaded to the central server via the middleware service

7.    Upload of Logs: The log files created on the enrollment clients are uploaded to the central server to simplify the process of troubleshooting when such is needed

1. Agent: The person key resource involved in actual basic and biometric data capture
2. Admin: The person in charge of the agents in a given jurisdiction/zone or capture area

8.    *Dynamic Client Fields: This is one of the strongest selling features of Seamfix Biocapture®. The dynamic client field capability enables the business rules of the capture process to change even if capture has already begun. This has proven to be very handy for our customers as most times the capture requirements may be hazy before resources are deployed to site, spanning very diverse geographical landscape. While the project role out may have occurred, if there are changes to the capture business rules, a patch can be released to automatically configure the client capture interface requirements.

This patch has the capability of introducing;

• Data fields
• Date fields
• Drop down fields (With all options)
• Enforce data fields or drop down fields to be compulsory fields
• Rearrange the client capture layout
• Rebrand the capture interface
• Change the data subset synchronized to the AFIS® back-end servers
