Corporate Social Responsibility

SEAMFIX Nigeria Limited takes corporate social responsibility seriously. It leads the Enterprise software development business community in support of one area which is the fundamental building block of all great nations, education. Essentially, the driving philosophy and objectives of our company’s corporate social responsibility are to affect lives of younger citizens, transforming them into veritable and willing tools that can spur sustainable economic development in the societies we operate in.

The company is also committed to boosting in area of Information Technology and applying them to solving the collective challenges we face as human, we understand the energy inherent in the young citizens and we are obliged by our conviction that guiding them to be what they are willing to be makes our community better and prosperous.

Youth Empowerment Programs

In September 2010, we partnered with Uhere Study Centre Nsukka (a non-profit organization whose goal is to facilitate proper academic and moral education of its students), to sensitize the Nigerian Youth (in this case the students of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka) on the need to acquire the Information Technology skills which is today the bedrock of any serious economy. Information Technology is a field that is fast evolving and which if not followed closely, will leave a large gap between itself and its scholars. Anyone who desires to specialize in the IT field has a lot of work to do with respect to bridging the knowledge gap between himself and his counterparts.

The students’ perceptions about the un-availability of job vacancies were changed. They were taught that jobs were available only for those who had something to offer. They were also encouraged to start their own enterprise citing Seamfix Nigeria Ltd as an example of a business enterprise that started small and have so far grown in capacity, relevance and influence in such short period of time.

Support for NYSC Projects

In our resolve to contribute to the welfare of the institution that looks after the development of the youths immediately they leave higher institution, the company has identified with the goals of erecting a befitting structure for the administrative function of NYSC Eti-Osa III.We simply believe in the capability on the NYSC institution to give guidance to our fresh graduates and that is why in line with our CSR mission, we have partnered with the NYSC in other to fulfil the vision of the founding fathers of the scheme.

Industry-based/Motivational Seminars

We engage in knowledge development and skill acquisition seminars held within the country. These seminars are organized with the Nigerian Youth as the target audience. There are interactive sessions geared at stressing the need for young people to put in their best in all they do in order to go beyond the level of mediocrity that plagues the typical African man. The youth are encouraged to obtain a skill (not necessarily IT based) and focus on developing that skill to its full potential, use it to solve societal problems and consequently make a living from it.
